www.mdli.com offers a free chemistry viewer that I have used for years to
create my displays for organic chemistry and cancer research.
the only thing still holding me to Internet Explorer is this plug-in that
allows Protein Data Bank files (.pdb, .mol) files to be read.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to my web site
2. plug-ins don't show molecules
3.
Actual Results:
no molecules show up.
Expected Results:
looked for the mdli chime plug-in in the internet explorer directory and used
it to read and display the file.

Internet Explorer 6 does use an ActiveX Plugin while all other browsers (on
Linux, Mac OS X and Windows) are using an NPAPI plugin. Internet Explorer5 and
before also use the NPAPI plugin...
Install an Plugin for Netscape/Mozilla/Opera [NPAPI] and it should work.
Reopen this bug report if you see the plugin in "about:plugins" (type it as URL)
and it still doesn't work.
