Able to successfully install a standard version of Firefox 1.0 from both the CD
and www.mozilla.org. In both installation cases, I chose the option to launch
firefox after installation. Receive Alert message reading 'Unable to find
start.mozilla.org. Please retaype and try again. Tried entering www.yahoo.com
and www.google.com. Similar error message. Restarted PC, same errors.
De-installed and re-installed (restarting after each process), still receive
same error messages.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Firefox 1.0 from either CD or www.mozilla.org.
2. After installation is complete, select option to automatically start firefox.
3.

Actual Results:
Error message:

start.mozilla.org could not be found. Please retype and try again.

Expected Results:
Take me to start.mozilla.org.
This has nothing to do with Bugzilla!

Odds are you have a proxy that you need to configure Firefox to use. Check your
existing browser settings and try entering the values seen there in Firefox's
Tools->Options->General->Connection Settings.
brantley, have you been able to connect after adjusting your proxy server?
I have the very same problem and was unhappy to find out there has been no
resolution so that Firefox is unuseable on my computer.
