Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 When I first install firefox and adobe acrobat I am able to view PDFs from the web within firefox and print. I continue to use my PC and then lose the ability to print PDFs from firefox. A re-install of adobe acrobat sometimes helps, but the problem is quick to return. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a PDF from any website (I am using adobe acrobat 6.0 professional) 2. view pdf within firefox 3. print pdf using the print button on the adobe tool bar Actual Results: a printing dialog box appears (very breifly) and dissappears and then nothing happens. Expected Results: the pdf is meant to be printed I can save the pdf OK from the acrobat tool bar within firefox to disk OK and then open it directly with acrobat and print from there OK. therefor printing from acrobat is OK, printing from firefox is OK, just unable to print pdfs from within firefox

Hey Sasha, maybe a flakey printer driver?!? I don't see this problem using the combination you've described (except that I'm on XP).

Still have not figured out why it will not print within my setup. Thought I had tracked down the problem but not yet. The problem exists for all of my printers (except when printing pdf to a pdf!) Will post back if I find what is wrong. thanks for looking into it. Sasha

It appears this problem is somehow network related. Using the exact same softwrae and similar PC hardware at home, everything works OK. Some else has been able to recreate a similar problem using mozilla and acrobat here on the corporate network. So the problem appears to be (mozilla/firefox) - pdf - network printing (might be over IP related - not sure)

Upgrading to adobe acrobat professional 7.0 has rectified the problem. Believe it was associated with network print server configuration in that it did not work well with firefox/mozilla and acrobat 6.0. Something local IT people will need to address. thanks all for your time.
