User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

I had Maxthon installed and then installed FF. Even though FF was set as
default browser, clicking http:// links from Outlook still opened Maxthon. The
problem turned out to be the association for the URL:HTTP file type. Even
though FF did correctly set the file type for the "open" action, it didn't make
"open" the default action. Maxthon had added a "Maxthon" action which was set
as the default (which was not nice of Maxthon). FF should set the "Open" action
as the default to protect against this.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Maxthon
2. Set Maxthon as default browser
3. Install FF
4. Set FF as default browser
5. Send e-mail to self with http:// link
6. Click link, opens in Maxthon

Actual Results:
opens in wrong browser

Expected Results:
opened in right browser, FF

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
