User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 when i attempt to log into FTP space that requires validation, there is no option to log in with any userid or password. with Internet Explorer, doing a right-click on the page background will give the option to "Log in as..." which displays a form asking for a username and password. I have the password manager disabled on my client, so there shouldn't be a userid or password being submitted automatically. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.attempt to open this URL - ftp://users.sisna.com 2. 3. Actual Results: an Alert popup box displays with the message "Invalid userid/password" Expected Results: a Prompt box should display asking for my username and password to log onto "ftp://users.sisna.com" i have themes dissabled, so i'm using the default theme. i have 3 PCs which are formatted and reinstalled with windows xp pro on a rotating schedule, this occurs on all three machines.
This is already fixed and the fix will be present in Firefox 1.1. Until then, you need to specify your username in the url field like this: ftp://<username>@users.sisna.com/ *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 124561 ***
