I have installed Firefox. I am able to pull up websites on IE and Netscape, but
when I try to pull up a web site using FireFox it says that the site cannot be
found. I have cable moodem. I have set my connections to "direct connection to
the internet" and "auto detect connection" with the same result.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Bring up browser
2.Enter a URL in the window
3.push enter

Actual Results:
www.<what ever site>.com could not be found

Expected Results:
web site would come up

I have checked in both direct and auto-dect. IE and Netscape work fine. I have
cable modem connected through a network card.
Please check if you have to use a proxy in FF. Look in Netscape 7 at Edit -
Preferences - Advanced - Proxies. Do you have any firewall installed which could
block internet access for Firefox?
Summary: web site not found → web site not found/ no connection
I'm having the sample problem with a cable modem also.
Firefox was working for me but suddenly stopped after installing MS Office
2003.
But that could be a coincdence.

Fine, an attachment that only MSIE can read.

Please wait with further comments for YOUR problem until the reporter clarifies
the report. Your problem can be different.

Using Firefox 1.0.6
At the following location, get consistent error message when attempting to
retrieve PDF files: "Not Found The requested URL /Documents\Press_Releases\Press
Release - Comment on Medicare Part B Reductions.pdf was not found on this server."
http://psakids.com/Documents%5CPress_Releases%5CPress%20Release%20-%20Comment%20on%20Medicare%20Part%20B%20Reductions.pdf

However, using IE, there is no problem getting the files.

Replace all the "%5C" with "/" and the URL works. The links on this page have
typos, it uses the "\" aka %5C instead of the real "/". IE fixes such wrong path
because it assumes that \ means / (which is not always correct). This would be a
TEch Evang bug for the site psakids.com.
