image not shown at all when in td cell with long select control in front of 
it. If the select control is shorter, it shows. if the select control is long 
not at all. Your screen painter is mismeasuring the select control font.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a table with one cell, put a long select control (text > 50) in it.
2.after that put a small ( 15x15 pixel ) after it in the cell.
3. vary the length of the select control and see what happens

Actual Results:  
no image. Image appears okay when it is in its own cell.

Expected Results:  
select control painted, 2 spaces (  ) and then the image. 

It works fine in IE.

The HTML tag for images is <img>, not <image>.
