280033 - RSS feeds load all messages on startup

i have several livejournal.com RSS feeds in an RSS account. every time i start TBird, *every* entry from 
those feeds is reloaded... so if i restart TBird N times, then i have N copies of every message in each 
RSS folder. it is *highly* annoying. it should only be adding new messages.

Also, I am on Windows XP.  I have attached a screenshot so you can see that it's
downloaded messages 3 times, simply from restarting Thunderbird 3 times (my
computer kept crashing - totally unrelated).

I have had this problem as well, with 1.0.2 on WinXP.  (Have not tried
reproducing with 1.0.5.)

It happened to me with a lot of feeds, and no rhyme or reason could easily be
discerned.  However, one particular feed was worst of all:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/newsfeed.xml

That feed had duplicate upon duplicate loading, constantly.

My copy of Thunderbird 1.0.2 also loads multiple copies of some RSS msgs, but it
does not appear to be related to re-starting Thunderbird.  The feed for which
this happens most in my case is http://www.wnyc.org/index.xml.  I reported the
problem to the webmaster at that site and they assure me "Our RSS feeds are up
to code, we don’t see this problem in other programs."
