Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier:

When trying to install Firefox 1.0 on my PC, the PC thought that I was trying to
install a version of Netscape. Netscape 7.1 was already present on my PC. I
uninstalled Netscape and the same thing happened... When trying to install
Firefox, it thought I was tring to install another version of Netscape and
continued to get hung -up during the install just prior to clicking "next" for
the install. I then downloaded Netscape 7.2 and installed that. Once again, I
tried installing Firefox 1.0, but this time it recognized Firefox as Firefox and
properly competed the install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have Netscape 7.1 on your PC
2. Try installing Firefox 1.0 (even after you ahve deleted Netscape 7.1)

Actual Results:
Firefox Installer thought it was tryign to install a version of Netscape.
Various words in the installer window were cut-off and the installer seemed
"buggy"... outside of the fact that it thought I was trying to install Netscape,
rather than Firefox. It was even trying to install in the Netscape/Netscape
directory.

Expected Results:
Installed Firefox without paying attention to what version of Netscape that I
had on my PC... if any.

I find it funny that I had to install the altest version of Netscape in order to
get Firrefox on my PC. I did not have this same problem on my Mac-G5 of course.
Please reopen if you disagree.
