User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050113 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050113 Firefox/1.0 The page contains a 3KB line (a huge integer). Firefox does not display it at all, and does not offer a horizontal scrollbar (as does Opera on the same page). The integer can be seen by viewing the source. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load the URL above 2.See some text and <hr>-lines 3.Look at the source and see a huge integer Expected Results: Created a horizontal scrollbar or folded the text; both are valid options in my view.
I saw the same behaviour with Firefox 1.0.1 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 Here is another testcase: http://achelois.tweakers.net/~acm/lines.php Below each number is a line of that length.
> > Reproducible: Always > > Steps to Reproduce: > 1.Load the URL above > 2.See some text and <hr>-lines > 3.Look at the source and see a huge integer > > > I can reproduce this problem with long unbroken text in a table cell. The URL: http://www219.pair.com/swansonr/example_overrun_table3.html shows the problem. If I view this page fragment using Firefox 1.0.1 on Mandrake Linux 10.1 (KDE), the long cells are treated inconsistently. Some appear, and some don't, even though all cells are populated. If I increase the font size (control +), some cells disappear, some appear, and some have their characters jammed together. If I decrease the font size (control -), more and more cells appear until they are all populated. This problem does NOT occur with Firefox 1.0.1 on Windows 2000 (nor with another popular browser). Attempts to change the appearance with control + and - did not make anything disappear, all cells were visible at all times. By the way, changing the table tag to give a size of 90% has no effect on this bug on Mandrake or on total table size (it is still very, very wide).
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
