User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.0 (20041206)

When Thudnerbird is running, there are no problems. When Thunderbird is not
running, clicking on a url such as mailto:user@blah brings up the mail composing
panel and when you say send, a prompt for the smtp server does come up but not
to write a copy of the sent message to an imap folder. In the same senario, if
thnderbird was running, clicking on the url on a web page works just as
expected. So the problem appears to be that Thunderburd assumes there is a
stored password and when it sends it to the imap server for storing, it fails to
login to the imap server.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.shutdown thunderbird
2.make sure you have file a copy of sent mail to an imap folder
3.type mailto:blah@blah in the url of firefox
4.send the mail
Actual Results:
login failure to imap server

Expected Results:
saved a copy of the sent mail in my imap folder
I thought I fixed this right before we shipped...
oh, so the smtp server password prompt comes up, but not the imap server
password? Then that's not the same as the bug I fixed, which was that no
password prompts could come up from the compose window. I wonder if the password
prompt for the imap server has a different parent window (though I thought I
fixed this in the common window js code...)
This appears to be fixed in 1.0.2.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
