People

(Reporter: mozillabugs.3.maxchee, Assigned: bugzilla)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

For some strange reason, wired news (both the homepage and the articles) always
refreshes itself every few seconds and it's very annoying. This does not occur
in IE6

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to www.wired.com
2. Wait for 10-200 seconds

Actual Results:
Wired News will refresh itself

This might be due to some settings in Firefox. I did not notice this behaviour
under windows ME
I also ran firefox under the "safe mode" (of firefox) and this behaviour did not
go away.
The latest nightly doesn't solve this problem... Although this bug is only
present when firefox is running on win2k/xp and does not occur for win9x and
linux. I have used firefox 1.0 on win2k, windows me and linux and win2k is the
only platform I am having trouble with.
This bug doesn't seem to affect many people (from what I have seen on my forum
posting). So can someone provide some suggestions as to how do I gather more
evidences.
