After FireFox Download Manager completes downloadning any file, it should launch
antivus prgram (assumed installed) to scan the file.

I would be content if this was done by a FireFox plugin.

This is a common feature of other download managers such as GetRight. And in a
world of viruses, trojans and other nasties, the sooner any new file to my
machine is scanned, the happier I will be.

I am unaware of cross-platforms needs as I am a Windows user. But I feel virus
scanning is a missing feature that is important to the security of my machine -
especially on a Windows machine ;-).

Reproducible: Always
Reporter, please look before you file a bug. This is a dupe of bug 103487, and
there's already an extension that does this :

My apologies for creating a duplicate bug. I realise duplicates waste peoples'
valuable time. I did search for the keyword 'virus' before creating this
enhancement report. I got no results for my search (which did surprise me at
the time).

I have now looked at the other bug 103487.
