Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 I have my preferences set to Leave Messages on the Server Until I delete them or move them from the Inbox. However when I move messages to Local Folders, the message remains on the server. This is causing my mailbox on the server to be out of sync with Thunderbird. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set the preference as described 2. Select a message and drag that message to a sub-folder under Local Folders 3. Actual Results: The message moves from the Inbox to the Local Folders sub-folder. If I close Thunderbird and use a web based email client such as Mail2Web I still see the message on the server. Expected Results: The message should have been downloaded to the Local Folders, and deleted from the Inbox on the server.

(In reply to comment #0) > The message moves from the Inbox to the Local Folders sub-folder. > If I close Thunderbird and use a web based email client such as Mail2Web > I still see the message on the server. Deletion request is sent on next POP3 server connection. (On move from Inbox, "delete required indicator" is set in popstate.dat file.) (Q1)What will happen when next procdure? (1) Get Msgs (2) Move a mail to a folder under "Local Folders", and check X-UIDL header of the mail via. View /Message Source (3) Terminate Thunderbird (4) Check contents for the UIDL in popstate.dat (under directry of "Server Settings"/"Local directry:" of the account) (5) Restart Thunderbird (6) Get Msgs again (7) Check mails on server using other software If mail is not deleted from server, check what happens when the mail is moved to a folder under the account instead of "Local Folders".
