Firefox and Thunderbird users have a better chance having product specific
questions answered in the #firefox and #thunderbird channels than in the general
#mozillazine channel. The Mozilla Support page should link to those two channels
as well, so we won't have to keep redirecting them from #mozillazine. (As
mentioned in #documentation.)

Personally, I'd like to see the Real-time Chat section boosted above Newsgroups
as for most users, the MoZine Forums and IRC are the first two options they
consider.
The wording in the attached patch seems a bit rough. So I'm going to take a stab
at it. Revised patch in a moment.

Here's my attempt at it. Dropped "moznet" and attempted to make it clearer what
the channels are about and for which app. (not sure if the average user
correctly interprets IRC channel topics based on their names based on the # of
people needing to be ushered on a daily basis.)

Also linkified "as an extension" to addons.mozilla.org to make it easier for
end-users to install Chatzilla if they need it. :-)

AFAIK, every regular there calls it moznet.
Also, removed previous proposal's word duplication.

Looks fine to me. :-)
yeah, moznet is what the server regulars would know it as, but this page is
end-user/newbie targetted.

++ (with apologies for the spam: blame MrMazda wanting me to go and post here to
show that I concur.) :P

still better revision
I'd take out the <abbr>, though.

This moves the text above newsgroups (per Comment #9) and removed the abbr (per
Comment #10).

Revised Text, moved
Comments:
- Keep it as IRC client, not IRC product.
- Put parentheses around the Chatzilla sentence.
- Put back the link to IRC help
I'm not sure if we should be moving the chat section above the newsgroup
section.

Addresses review comments in Comment #12.
This one leaves the section moved above newsgroups.

Same patch as above, without the section being moved. Take your pick. :-)
Also, fantasai, if you would check in whichever patch you approve of, thanks.
