After the fun we had on moznet today, I suddenly had some logfiles of >1MB, and chatzilla was freezing the rest of mozilla during the peak of the flooding. Not good. We probably could do with some basic flood-reduction, such as silently dropping the display of new joins/quits after more than x in y seconds, and the same for silently dropping any line of text uttered more than z times by more than a people in b seconds. Etc, etc.

If you were using 0.9.67, it will already adjust its processing to only use 80-90% CPU (with a 25% underflow filter), and it's Gecko that kills things anyway.
