Many people have so many bookmarks that up and down arrows for scrolling appear
in the Bookmarks menu. The bookmark menu should allow for several different
adjacent columns (like for example the Windows XP "Start -> All Programs" menu)
so that scrolling up and down is avoided. Scrolling takes time, and having
several adjacent columns would be more practical. Of course one can avoid this
"problem" by just making many many different folders within the Bookmarks menu,
but some people have so many different bookmarks that this is simply unfeasible.

Reproducible: Always
I fully agree, this would be a valuable feature.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Are there still people with a 800x600 screen?
Yes. Believe it or not, not everyone uses the same cutting edge technology that software developers have. If that answer isn't good enough, I've seen plenty of older folks (and I don't mean elderly) who prefer low resolutions simply because it makes the screen easier to see.
Now there is netbooks with 800 and 600 pixels in heigh. This option will very useful for non-huge-desktop-monitors.
