Installed new German McAfee Internet Security 7.0. If mailscan is activated it
cannot download mails from server. Using Thunderbird 1.0 German. Also it gives a
warning for the SMTP-Extensions not being supported by McAfee when sending
mails, which it at least still does.

Reproducible: Always

1.Have Internet Security activated.. Start THunderbird 1.0 German & download Emails.

Same situation to Bug 213300?
See Bug 213300 comment #11 and check "Server Settings" (changed or not).

What error is occuring?
If connection or communication related error,
see http://www.mozilla.org/quality/mailnews/mail-troubleshoot.html#pop ,
get protocol log for POP3(POP3:5), and attach log file to this bug.

Isn't is SPEC of McAfee? Are there any way to stop warning by McAfee?
Do you mean SMTP-Extention related function of Thunderbird should be disabled?

As far as I got through it yet. The servername etc is still correct, no
automatic renaming at all. So 213300 can't be the problem.
But the problem seems to have changed now. If I turn on Email virus scan
(scanning of in- & outgoing mail) it just doesn't detect mail. If I turn it of
it does detect it on the server.
I might contact McAfee as well since it didn't happen with Internet Security
5.0, so it seems to be their fault.
I just got answer from McAfee. It's unbelievable. They told that only IE 5.5 or
higher will be supported. They didn't get that Thunderbird is an email client
and not a browser. Let's get ignorant...

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

We're now tracking such bugs. This doesn't mean it's something we can fix, merely something we hope to be able to point vendors to so they can investigate. This is an automated message.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
