280452 - Ridicilous messages total count in status bar

Messages total count in status bar is now 285862. The real count is somewhere
around 400. The count increases every time I run Thunderbird yet decreases when
I delete or move a message from the inbox. Also, loading he inbox is very slow.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Thunderbird
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
The message count is a few thousand bigger than it was during the last run.

Expected Results:  
The message count should be the exact count of messages.

IMAP or POP mail?  Are you using filters to move messages from the Inbox?
Have you tried compacting the folder?

POP. I do have filters, ald also do have compacted all folders. Compacting does
notresolve the problem.

As 223091, it's similar yet not identical. The message count increase after
checking mail is exactly the amount of incoming messages.

Try deleting the .MSF file that corresponds to each folder that's exhibiting the 
problem.  The file will be rebuild when TB is restarted.
