After you've chosen an option from the pulldown menu listing databases, it
closes, and the page in the right loads, but then the pulldown menu opens again,
but instead of the options you see a fuzzy grey background.
cropped screenshot:

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to URL specified (or, if you have one available, another installation of a
recent PHPMyAdmin to prevent overloading the demo site :-)
2. Open pulldown menu in the left frame with mouse, choose one of the two
databases, release mousebutton.
Actual Results:
After pages finish refreshing, the pulldown menu opens again, but no textual
options show, just a fuzzy dark-grey rectangle. When moving the window about,
the rectangle stays in place, until you stop moving the window and move the
mousepointer into the Window's content area again - then it moves into place
again, but still opened.
Even when switching to another application, the grey rectangle stays on top, and
clicking it will switch back to Mozilla.
The only way to get rid of it is to click the chosen option that's visible right
above the rectangle (the usual only-visible part of a pulldown menu), twice
(once to focus, after which the options become visible, and once again to close
it). But even then, when clicking any link in the right frame that goes to a new
page, the menu re-opens with the grey rectangle.
Expected Results:
None of the above! The menu should stay closed after the pages are done loading
and allow regular operation in the frame on the right.
Could be a JavaScript coding error (I'm no expert in this..) but it doesn't
happen with Mozilla 1.8a4; does, however, with 1.8a5.
Regardless, the grey rectangle staying on top of even other application windows
qualifies as a bug IMO :-)

Could you please test a nightly build from 2005-01-18 or later? This is almost
certainly bug 269561, which got fixed on Jan 17...
So sorry! :-/ Did search, couldn't find.. upgrading to nightly build worked for me.
