found using 2005013108-trunk camino NB. if you revisit the General or History
preference panels, initial focus is not set.

this is not a problem when General or History is the first panel which appears
when opening the Preferences window. focus is correctly placed in the Home Page
or Page History textfields, respectively.

1. open up Preferences, but make sure that the 1st panel is neither General nor
History. you can easily do this by (previously) viewing any other pref panel,
then closing and reopening Preferences.

2. click General or History in the toolbar (or use the keyboard: Ctrl+F5, arrow
key to desired panel, hit spacebar to open it).

3. look for visual indication of focus.

results: no visual indication (no focus ring). hitting Tab or Shift-Tab doesn't
display (or move) focus either.
This is the same thing I reported (less eloquently!) in bug 278820 (although I
don't see focus in General even when it is the initial pane).
