I have been using 0.8 successfully, when installed 1.0 into a new directory, and open, it opens the
window and can see the mail-box pane, but the message pane is blank and it is hanging with never
ending spinning wheel.
When I create a new profile and start with the new profile it works every time, but it hangs every time
on startup (must force quit) if using the previous profile.
I am using the latest verision 1.0 and also tried with 1.0rc latest build, the problem is the same

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open version 1.0
2. It will always hang with spinning wheel
3. If use new blank profile it is ok
I experience the same with Thunderbird 1.0.2, on Fedora 3. On startup, it uses
~98% CPU and doesn't repaint. Memory usage doesn't change, so I guess it doesn't
do anything useful.
I could fix my obviously broken profile by deleting the Inbox.msf file, which
was rebuilt by Thunderbird. I don't know the importance of the information in it
(it looks like a cache), so before experimenting with the Profile folder, make a
backup.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
