I recently upgraded from firebird to firefox and uninstalled firebird. I never
had this problem with firebird.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open 'My Pictures'
2.Select 'Kodak' - they come up on Irfan View since these pics are Kodak Digital
saved from Kodak Easyshare.
3.
Actual Results:  
The Error Message appears.

Expected Results:  
Displayed the contents of the folder.

This looks like you installed firefox before uninstalling Firebird, so Windows
still beleives that the old install is default handler for images.  Or did you
maybe use a zip install for Firebird?  This would further explain things not
being cleaned up properly.

The root cause may have been Firebird setting itself as the default file
handler, something that it should no longer do.  Use Explorer to reset your file
associations to either Firefox 1.0 or some other program, or you could reinstall
IrfanView, and reassociate image file types to it.  Let us know if this fixes
things.
