Before I started using saved searches, I used regular folders with message
filters to move my mail into the appropriate folder. I've got a lot of farily
complex filters already defined for all the messages I receive.
It would be really nice to be able to save an existing message filter as a saved
search since the syntax to define them is very similar. Otherwise, right now
I'm having to redefine all of my filters as saved searches manually which is a
real pain.
I'm picturing a "Save As Search Folder" button on the "Filter Rules" dialog
that's shown when you edit an existing message filter (similar to the existing
"Search Messages" dialog).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools->Message Filters
2. Select existing filter and click Edit...
Actual Results:
Filter Rules dialog doesn't have a "Save As Search Folder" button.
Expected Results:
Should have a "Save As Search Folder" button.

In a similar light, it'd be great to have a way of converting a 'saved search'
into a filter.
I made several saved searches, but they are very slow and, so, I would like to
change them to filters.
I hope the originator has no objection to this slight change to this RFE? If
there is an objection, I'll open another request.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
