Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
For some reason when I open my yahoo mail account and at the top is listed the
compose button, I cannot click the button. well I can click it but when I do
nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling it and even
went so far as one time (just now actually) I went as far as to go to documents
and setting and delete folders left behind under application data and seartched
through the registry and remove all traces of firefox. I then restarted and
downloaded firefox again and still have the same problem. This has happed to me
on other computers on which I have installed firefox but does not happen on all
computers. When I think about it all only the xp systems have problems I believe
but am not sure. But when I click the Compose button on yahoo mail it just sits
there as if I have done nothing. All other web sites work fine it's just the
yahoo mail compose button and it happens everytime.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.log onto yahoo mail
2.click compose button
3.
Actual Results:
nothing after I log in and click compose it just sits their
Expected Results:
it should have loaded the yahoo compose page complete with to and from fields
and a subject and body area.
I am running windows xp pro on a del dimension gx260 with the default setting
for firefox, I do not change anything in firefox except the homepage

Please add always "bug" before the number so it will be automatically a link.
Is bug 183863 related?

Is it just the Compose button? We also have a few reports of the
Reply/Forward/etc buttons being broken (see bug 265807).
You mention that this happens on a few computers. Any common settings between them?
Yahoo Mail has always worked for me with various Mozilla versions on WinXP, and
based on bug reports, seems to work for most people.

Bug 265807 seems to be related to this one. In fact, what I noticed is that
this issue only appears on links that appear to be form buttons. Meaning, they
are a plain rectangle graphic button with text over it. So far, text links seem
unaffected by whatever the problem is. I haven't had a problem with the compose
button, but have experienced it with most of the other buttons (forward, move,
etc.) The mouse over works but when you click the buttons, nothing happens.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.9) Gecko/20050711
Firefox/1.0.5, WinXP...
I use FireFox 1.5.0.5 on Linux (Gentoo 2006.1) and removing the AdBlock and AdBlock+ extension fixes this problem.
Time to file a bug report against AdBlock extension.

I'm resolving this as WFM. It's an old bug that I can't reproduce on Windows XP using Firefox 2.0.0.3. If you're able to reproduce on Firefox 2.0.0.3 or later using a new profile, please reopen this bug.
