User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041110 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 1.0 20041206 JUst noticed this rather odd thing with mail download headers-only. When the mail is selected the preview menu shows a small box with the instruction 'Only the headers for this message were downloaded from the mail server. Click here to download the rest of the message.' "Here" is highlit as a hyperlink. Clicking this appears to do nothing. Only when the mouse is moved after clicking does the download begin. Ordinary hyperlinks in real messages work as expected, it only seems to be this system message Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set 'download headers only, with preview window 2. get some mail. 3. select new mail 4. click on word 'here' Actual Results: Nothing, until you move the mouse. Then the status line shows connection activity Expected Results: connectivity would start as soon with button down This is fairly trivial, except for people with limited mobility, using "accessability" devices like slow mouse , arrow key cursor, or similar.

(In reply to comment #0) > Clicking this appears to do nothing. Only when the mouse is moved after > clicking does the download begin. I'm unable to reproduce this symptom. > Expected Results: > connectivity would start as soon with button down This isn't exactly correct -- the link should start being processed on button-up. If I just hold the mouse button down, neither the "download rest of message" link nor any other link starts to process, as expected. But the link to get the rest of the message appears to work as expected. There may be a slight delay for that link, compared to (say) clicking a mailto: link in a message. > This is fairly trivial, except for people with limited mobility, using > "accessability" devices like slow mouse , arrow key cursor, or similar. Do you see a similar problem when using the keyboard to tab to the link and then hitting Return?
