Hitting the delete key or dragging an RSS feed to the RSS trash instantly
deletes the feed, with no chance for confirmation. In conjunction with bug
280218 (by which deleted and undeleted RSS feeds are irreparably broken), this
is an infernal nuisance, because the only thing to do is to leave it deleted and
recreate it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Delete an RSS feed
2.
3.

Actual Results:
It's instantly moved to the trash folder.

Expected Results:
Ask "Are you sure?", just as it does for newsgroups.
Looks to me this is normal behaviour, because it doesn't confirm the deletion
for e-mail aswell so it should this bug should be a feature request then instead
than a bug with normal severity.

You can't delete an entire email account merely by hitting the Delete key. You
can't delete an email folder merely by hitting the Delete key. You can't delete
a newsgroup merely by hitting the Delete key. But if you hit the Delete key
meaning to delete a single RSS item, when you've forgetten that the accounts
window is the one currently selected, BANG! the RSS feed is gone, and you have
to resubscribe, which requires reentering in the (typically lengthy and
unintuitive) name of the RSS URL.
See bug 250625. Some bugs that reported this problem earlier were duped to that
one. There was some work done, but I don't really understand the comments
around its checkin, and clearly there is no confirmation.

Leaving this bug at normal severity because undeleting the folder causes the
feeds to be lost -- see bug 267082.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
250625 seems to be about deleting with the Delete pushbutton in the "Manage
Subscripts" dialog. This one is concerned with the fact that a single mistaken
keystroke can delete an RSS feed when in the main window.
I've recently installed a current trunk build -- 1.0+20050218 -- and this
problem has been addressed; there is now a confirmation dialog for folder
deletion.

Presumably fixed as part of the other recent RSS work (new Manage Feeds dialog).
