Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/125.5.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050204 Firefox/1.0+ I would have put this under a UI component rather than History, but a large portion of the problem seems to have to do with data never being filled in the right places (History, and the Back/Forward buttons). The only page I can go to is the Home page, or whatever is input via prefs for the home page. If I type any URL into the location bar, and hit enter, it does not respond. After going to the home page and clicking through several links, the back and forward buttons remain grayed out (nothing has populated the back button) and the history remains empty as if I'd not clicked through those links. So, this is a major bug that makes the 1.0 and later unusable. I had used some pre 1.0 versions and seem to remember that they did not have this problem. Currently running system 10.3.7 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start FireFox 2.enter a url into location bar. 3.press enter. notice that nothing happens. or. 1. Start firefox 2. click the home page to mozilla.org 3. click through some links there 4. notice that the history is empty and the back button doesn't remember your movement through the web. Actual Results: as described. Expected Results: self explanatory.

Just for the record, the last version of FireFox that works on this machine is .8 (Royal Oak). That was the last version I tried before the 1.0 release in which I face the noted problems.
What is your setting for "History: Remember visited pages for the last __ days"?

Try creating a new profile. You can do it by removing this folder: ~library/Application\ Support/Firefox This is probably just a bad profile from a nightly build or some more random issue. Reopen if a better case can be made for this being a more widespread problem.
