Build Identifier:

Right click on page cause Firefox to crash and to erase all data from Cache

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open more webpages 20-50 on tabs on many Firefox windows then right click to
add links with FlashGot to FlashGet,
2. After some right clicks it appears an error message like this one: "Firefox
has cause a error and need to be closed" then all Firefox windows are closed
and all data from the Firefox Cache is lost.

Actual Results:
The opened links are lost and it needs more time to open them because they
where deleted from Cache.

This error happens frecvently.
O.K. Firefox should not crash, but since your recipe involves opening many
windows with many tabs in each, there is unlikley to be much traction on this
without a talkback ID or a stack trace.

The cache is cleared in case it contained faulty data that might cause a crash
next time you start Firefox. See Bug 105843 "Cache lost if Mozilla crashes".
This is by design.

(Personally I think that release versions of Firefox should not do this, in the
sense that if it were necessary then that version ought not to be releasable)

Reporter, please provide a talkback ID, preferably from a recent trunk build.
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/
This bug it did hapens because the new versions of FlashGot that I have
installed. After I have installed an old version of FlashGot 0.5.3 the bug
did'nt occur any further.
So the problem is in FlashGot new versions, released after 0.5.3 build.
Please report this bug to the author of extension too.

Being a crash on the native code level, and FlashGot not making any native code
call on right-click, it is more likely a Firefox bug - even if some particular
FlashGot code path *and a situation of browser stress* may trigger it.

Since 0.5.3 I released 22 FlashGot builds, with about 3 million downloads only
from UMO: if this bug is really FlashGot related, I suspect we would have a few
reports...

Everyone browse different webpages in different ways, so it's quite unlikely to
hapen in all situations.

Not to mention that not everybody who use Firefox is involved in bug tracking
and reporting.

I use Firefox with some 4-10 windows open, approximately every window opened
with maximum number of tabs that can be browsed on that window ex: 30.
In this scenario when I start adding links to FlashGet with FlashGot after 5-20
right-clicks, Firefox crash.

As I mention 0.5.3 version works just fine.
Does it still happen with the latest Firefox branch + the latest plugin?
Is this bug still reproducable? Please upgrade to a newer version of Firefox, preferably a nightly testing build available at http://www.mozilla.org/developer and report back with your results. Thank you.
William,
A tester build is unstable, so why must he use it? Just Firefox 2.0 (as of this comment post) would be fine! Nightly tester builds, are for testers not just a person browsing the web!
dtkopaka@halomodmaps.com: because if you want to help (and that's the only reason you should file bugs in bugzilla), testing of developer builds may be required.

Anyway, almost no useful information here, not even a talkback incident ID here, not even talking about steps to reproduce, so closing the bug.
