And, hopefully, there is a place on the form to make the field a little wider, so it would show up to 5 digits. (I believe maximum port number is 65535?) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

I created this bug 281226 for Thunderbird and bug 281227 for Mozilla. Are they really duplicates? Does it mean that Mozilla and TB come from the same codebase? (so that this bug could be fixed on one place in code for both Mozilla & TB?)

I see the same results for current TB that I see in Mozilla (as posted in that other bug) -- which is, the port fields for POP, IMAP, News and SMTP are wide enough for five digits, if not more.
