(In reply to comment #2) > err, why should it work? the keybinding is *command*+left-arrow (works-for-me) CTRL+arrows works in the equivalent situation in safari, and indeed in all Aqua text-entry boxes I've tried; it doesn't work in IE.mac:5.2, but I'd file that as a bug there, too.

doesn't work for me in either safri or subethaedit, you're probably either trying command+arrows or mapped control+arrows using a system-extension.

(In reply to comment #4) > doesn't work for me in either safri or subethaedit, you're probably either > trying command+arrows or mapped control+arrows using a system-extension. I have only had this Mac Mini for a week, but I'm pretty sure I can distinguish the "command" and "control" keys; I haven't deliberately installed a system extension, and if I had, I would expect Firefox to recognise it just as Safari does. Is there any way to tell if I have a system extension installed?

Firefox won't recognize those kind of system extensions since the textboxes are not cocoa textboxes. Command+Arrows should work for you in both app, does it?

On Mac OS X use the [Command]+arrow keys (<- or ->) to move to the start or end of the line. Use the [Option]+arrow keys to move a word or part of URL at a time.

Mass edit: Setting correct QA for location bar/autocomplete. My bad. I forgot I had once been Autocomplete QA too. Hmm, why can't I just set the QA of bugs to the default QA of the component in a mass edit rather than having to do it manually...?
QA Contact: password.manager → location.bar

This can be closed as fixed. It works - presumably since Firefox now uses native text boxes? After disabling control-left/right arrows as the default shortcut to switch between Spaces, they do move the cursor to the beginning/end of line in text boxes, including the URL bar.
