Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041230 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041230 With recent versions (a 20041230 version from CVS was working), I cannot open Calendar files in any way, with either Mozilla+Calendar or Sunbird. More than the problem with opening these files, Mozilla no longer lists any calendar in the "Calendars" tab. Note: When starting sunbird from a terminal (to get messages), I get in the terminal: error creating table cal_calendars -- probably already exists Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start sunbird. 2. Click on File -> Open Calendar File... Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: A dialog window should appear to open a Calendar file. Setting as "Blocker" since it is not possible to use Calendar any longer. I can create new events, but they can't be saved anyway. Note: I recall that this bug is quite recent (it wasn't present on December 30). Therefore it can't be seen as a duplicate of bug 212792 for instance.

trunk calendar builds are known to be unusable for normal use. news://news.mozilla.org:119/ctu4o4$18a4@ripley.netscape.com not a blocker at this stage.
Severity: blocker → normal

This WORKSFORME on both trunk and, of course, with the stable 0.2. Is there any reason to keep it open?

I'm closing the bug. I no longer use Mozilla anyway since it was often crashing on startup. The Calendar extension for Firefox works well on Linux/x86. But I can't test Sunbird on Linux/ppc. I've just submitted bug 294522 about this problem.
