Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

The keyboard up and down page keys (fn page up, fn page down) and close window
(command W) (PowerBook G5) work fine when a new window opens. But as soon as I
have clicked on page these keyboard controls no longer work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open new window
2. Click in it or highlight text or something similar
3.click command W to close window

Actual Results:
Window does not close.

Expected Results:
Window should have closed

Window closes if I click the close window icon. (This page is not responding now
that I have been typing in it)

Reporter would you look at bug 242242 comment 4 and see if that bug is the same
issue.

I don't think that it is quite the same. My problem only appears once I have
clicked on the page and the home and end keys don't work either. But the scroll
wheel of my Logitech mouse and the SideTrack utility both move the page up and down.
and... If you're prssing F7 in this state; does it help?
If I turn caret browing off, up an ddown page work, so it presumably the same
bug. Thank you your help.
