User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041230
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041230

I tried to open a page on the intranet of my lab from my machine at home, but
the connection couldn't be performed. Mozilla was configured to use "Automatic
proxy configuration URL". Manual proxy configuration was working. When I
switched back to "Automatic proxy configuration URL", same problem: no
connection. When I clicked on "Reload", it worked again (thus the problem isn't
in my proxy.pac file, which hadn't changed since I started Mozilla).

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
Bug 112935 could be related (Mozilla uses your manual proxy to load your pac file).
Reporter: Where are you loading the .pac file from? Can it be reached without a
proxy?
Bug 112935 isn't related: my .pac file is loaded locally via the web server
installed on the machine. It can be reached whether the .pac file is used or not
for this connection (the .pac file says: always DIRECT, except for the domain of
my lab).

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
