User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041003 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041003 Firefox/0.10 When creating a bookmark, for instance bookmarking this site, if you bookmark the same site repeatedly Firefox still creates new bookmarks although all there data eg. URLs and names are identical. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Bookmark this site. 2. Bookmark this site again. 3. Repeat above step. Actual Results: Now there will be 3 identical bookmarks in your Bookmark menu. Expected Results: Hopefully, firefox would be able to identify identical bookmarks, by name URL or otherwise. Perhaps it would then either overide the previous bookmark or inform the user of the dulication that is about to take place.
Can this be duped to bug 18152? Also see Bookmark Duplicate Detector 0.0.1 http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=597
