Recently, switching windows with MS Office running has not worked -- e.g.,
Word to Firefox browser to Outlook to Excel. All programs are running, but
switching on the task bar does not bring up the window; must minimize the
running program to switch. This does not happen unless Firefox is one of the
programs. This problem does NOT happen when I use IE. Is anyone else having
this problem?

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Close down programs and restart without Firefox. Task swtching works well.
2.Restart Firefox. After 10 minutes or longer, problem re-emerges.
3.

Actual Results:
Could not switch tasks by using task bar or by using Alt-Tab.

Expected Results:
Should have been able to switch tasks.

The problem does not arise when I use IE instead of Firefox. Also, I have
installed all service packs for MS Office through SP-3
Do you have a lot of disk swapping activity if you try to switch the apps?

> Do you have a lot of disk swapping activity if you try to switch the apps?

No. I don't think it is an issue of swapping to the hard disk. The other app
is "there" and running and I can get to it by minimizing the app on screen,
but I can't get to it by clicking on the other app on the task bar or by using
Alt-Tab. If I close all apps and start them up again, the problem goes away
intitially, but comes back in a while.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
