User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

Having just opened the smh.com.au website (which I use all the time so I suspect
the page is coincidence), I scrolled down quickly using the mouse wheel and then
back up a little. The program crashed, with the title bar etc staying in view
after the crash. Shutting down required repeated clicks on nameless 'program is
not responding' windows to get out.

This has happened several times yesterday and today. The only other program open
was Outlook 2000.

The crash advice window displayed the following:

FIREFOX caused a divide error in module <unknown> at 0000:00000204.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log on
2. Start outlook
3. Start Firefox (I have two homepages - google.com.au and smh.com.au)
4. Scroll down quickly using mouse wheel.

Actual Results:
Standard Windows 'This program will be shut down' error message appears. After
closing this, vestiges of Firefox remain on screen and on the menu bar. They
disappear if I bring up another mindow (eg outlook), but are still there when I
minimise the outlook window.

Expected Results:
Not crashed!
An update: it continues to happen, and always on the smh.com.au homepage.
Try reproducing with a recent build
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/
and please post the talkback ID you get from the Talkback agent window.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
