User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

The display of an inline PDF document (included in an HTML document via the
<embed> tag) does not work in Firefox 1.0 with the Acrobat 7.0 reader plugin
installed.

When attempting to load a page which includes such a document, I obtain the
message 'This operation is not allowed' in a popup dialog. See the specified
URL (http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/menu.html?f=test.pdf) in order to see the
problem in action.

It should be noted that the document loads fine if it fills up the entire frame.
For example, for the same document as in the previous example, you can use the
following URL (http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/test.pdf).

Additional Notes: The inline PDF works fine on IE as well as on Linux-based
Gecko browsers which make use of the generic 'Plugger' multimedia utility
(http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger.html)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Point Firefox at the following URL:
http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/menu.html?f=test.pdf
2.
3.

Actual Results:
I obtain an error dialog with the message 'This operation is not allowed'. The
doucment content is also not rendered in the page. During the time when the
error dialog is displayed, the background of the page goes black.

Expected Results:
1) The contents of the PDF document should have been rendered inline at the
specified location.
2) The error message should not have been displayed.
Maybe related: Bug 212964
Same result here. After I additionally uninstalled Acrobat Reader 6.0 (which
was left over), now I get *no* result when trying to view inline PDFs--just a
blank. Acrobat 7.0 does show up in about:plugins, however.
Same bug on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8b4)
Gecko/20050725 Firefox/1.0+ with Adobe Reader 7.0
