With Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050627 the behaviour reappeared exactly as described in February (somewhere since Gecko/20050613, which was working o.k.).

Today I installed Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050629 and the described problem has again been solved (as some others: direct downloading of files instead of saving link location as; the red reportertool message line at the bottom disappeared).
