Firefox will not open if Thunderbird is already open.  If I open Firefox first,
then Thunderbird, the problem does not occur...  but in both instances, clicking
a mailto on a web site will not open Thunderbird... or any other email program.
 I'm new to all this, so it may just be a case of stupidity on my part.  

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Open Thunderbird, leave it open
2.  Try to open Firefox, and it will act like it's starting, then no browser
appears.
Actual Results:  
No mater how many times I try, Firefox will not present a browser unless I close
Thunderbird first.

Expected Results:  
Should have opened Firefox, despite any other running programs... should have
linked Thunderbird (upon install) with Firefox for default email sending.

Andy,

From the information given the build you are using is very old (March 8, 2004).
 If this is the version you are reporting with, that is much too old.  Both
Firefox 1.0 and Thunderbird 1.0 have been released.  Preferably, you should use
the latest nightly build for reporting bugs.

Please report back on the status after using one of these versions.  If you are
using a recent build, then ignore this.

Reporter, If you can reproduce your reported Error in the latest
milestone or a recent (no more than 3 days old) nightly build, then feel free to
re-open.
