Used Thunderbird and Firefon fine untill install of NOD32 antivirus software.
Now I get a total system lockup with no discernable pattern except that attempt
to use both Firefox and Thunderbird increases the risk substantially, as does
using either shortly after loggin on. Exiting the NOD32 control center helps
somewhat, but is not a solution. Lockup also occured when Logitech attempted to
check for a software update. Only solution is cold reboot by holding power
button down.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
See above

Actual Results:
Entire computer system crashes, no way to access task/process list

Expected Results:
See above

If someone will tell me how to collect memory dumps or whatever I will be happy
to provide any further information that I can.
*** Bug 282077 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
A complete freeze or windows crash can only be caused by a driver and from
userspace applications.
That also means that Mozilla, Firefox and Thunderbird can't crash the whole
system or cause a freeze because no product from mozilla.org installs a kernel
mode driver. (they can only trigger a bug in one of your installed drivers)

YOur Antivirus Software may install such a kernel mode driver and your problem
is this antivorus software and not Mozilla/Firefox/Thunderbird.

282077 is NOT a duplicate of this bug. This bug relates to Thunderbird, 282077
relates to Firefox.
I do not understand Comment 3. What are Firefix and Thunderbird if not userspace
applications?
Please reconsider. This is not a closed issue for me.
