Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 I also use Firefox for reading/browsing html docs on my local machine. When I start FireFox, it tries to access the internet. As I'm mostly not connected ( dial in modem ) I don't want this behaviour. Note that homepage points to local file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start FireFox 2. 3. Actual Results: Zone alarm asks if internet access is allowed. I don't want to dial in for making a connection to ? Expected Results: Don't access internet unless I request it.
Is the option of software Update enable? (Tool -> Options... -> Advanced) And is "Live Bookmark" registered in the bookmark?

There are only 2 reasons for this : a) You have a RSS feed in your toolbar b) you have the automatic update activated -> invalid
