Tried "Custom .wav file in Edit>Preferences; makes no difference 2. Tried turning off all sound associations with incoming mail, then turning back on, makes no difference 3. Tried re-associating audio file (.wav) with Windows Media Player instead of Real Player; makes no difference Actual Results: None of fixes tried have been sucessful Expected Results: In addition to "new mail notification" flag in Mozilla, the .wav notification file should play through systems audio system, but nothing happens other than "new mail notification" flag (appears to function normally).

This could be an Duplicate of Bug 276372, which was fixed at 2005-01-18. Allan, could you try a new Trunk-Build to verify if the sound notification is still broken or o.k.?
