I retried the steps, first round the menu shows after a few repeat the File menu is gone. Please also note I can always have them back by press Ctrl+N, and the new window can show all the menus anew. But the status bar never come up.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7pre) Gecko/2007080103 BonEcho/2.0.0.7pre Hmm. I can reproduce this. 1. New profile, start firefox 2. Should have two tabs. Close one. 3. Press F11 (Fx goes fullscreen) 4. Press Alt+F (No menu shown) 5. Try pressing F11... no response 6. Click in the browser window (to give focus?) 7. Press F11 (Fx comes out of fullscreen) 8. Press Alt+F; File menu highlighted, nothing drops down. I have reproduced this twice now with a new profile. But if I use an existing profile the problem didn't show itself for the couple of times I tried.
