In the last 3 month this was happening several times:

If I use the scroller from my trackball while I'm on a homepage
it happens from time to time that the PC hangs. Everything looks fine,
but nothing is working anymore. No Taskmanager, nothing...
The only solution then is to switch off the PC.
Im useing a Logitech Trackball (with cable) and have installed the latest
logitech driver.

This problem occur with Mozilla 1.7.5 and firefox 1.0.
With the Internet-Explorer which I used before all the time before, this problem
did not occure at all. That means the reason for this problem must be within
mozilla.
in the last 2 years.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. visit some homepages (doesn't matter which)
2. use the scroller from the trackball to navigate trough the homepage
3.

Actual Results:
approximately once every 5 hours it happens that the PC hangs

Expected Results:
no PC crash

Windows-XP Prof. SP2
such a hang is always a problem with your sysdtem (hardware, Driver) because
Mozila is only a userspace application and can't crash winxp.

It doesn't matter if you don't have the problem with IE, it's still a bug in one
of your drivers.

Hello,

may this a bug of a driver, but what can I do.
This is wat I was thinking of. But I alraedy have
the newest trackball driver. The only solution for
me now is, not to use mozilla and to use the IE
