For some reason, my browser freezes on my main desktop machine whenever it loads
a webpage. I have rebuilt the machine 2 times. As well as re-installed the
browser on several occasions. What is causing this browser freeze.
Main workstation is Windows XP SP2, P4, 1GIG of ram, 3Com gigabit nic

Reproducible: Always
Always provide the address of a site for which this occurs :)
also provide other info, such as firewalls, themes, extensions etc.

any website. It goes to any page and then freezes for 10-20secs. No themes or
extensions. Just flat install. Normal Windows XP SP2 firewall. Anymore
information needed.
Sounds like you've got some firewall problem. Does anything change if you
disable the firewall or exempt Firefox from Firewall activity?
Nope. The problem was that Firefox didn't like my hyperthreading. I had to turn
that off. Now it is rocking. I tested it by setting firefox to not use
hyperthreading. And wala. So I just turned hyperthreading off all together.
