thanks!

i just submitted my first firefox bug!

Hi. I'm a tech writer ( http://www.kittyfeet.com/bookingIt.htm ) and ...I
noticed an issue with the CD ROMs that come with all my books.

As I started using Firefox, the CDs stopped working correctly. I can still
browse them through Windows, and the Flash interface still loads, but whenever I
try to click on the links on the Flash-based CD-ROM Interface, they don't open
the folders on the CD. Instead they go online and do web searches for the terms.
For instance, when you click the link for the "goodies" folder, it does a web
search on the term "goodies" through Firefox.

In order to make the CDs work correctly, I had to make Internet Explorer my
default browser.

I think the issue is something with how FireFox blocks pop ups, because it does
ship with Flash native, and Flash pages work fine in it. Or maybe the fact that
Windows IS Internet Explorer, and Firefox is not.

Is there a way, in future versions, to fix this?

thanks.

Reporter, are you using getURL() in Flash ? If you do, it's a dupe of bug 249285.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
