User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 This relates with Bug #214377. If events can relate to tasks, could events create tasks based on their category? Example: a user defined category of "Movie Release" has an "Auto-Create Task" of "Buy Ticket"(user entered string) that has a Due Date equal to the day of the event (or n days relative to the event). Reproducible: Always

I agree. This is a much better idea than simply "linking" entries in some nonspecific way. There is some design work to be done to establish the ways in which entries relate to each other in real life, so that the product can support those ways explicitly.

This is quite a specific use case. I'd vote for creating an extension that takes care of what you described.
