User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 With Moxilla 1.7.5 & Windows XP-home I created 3 email accounts. They worked. The next day one was missing and the another duplicated. Main email account ok. Day three some sccount info had been altered (my account was never at Netscape). Next day all three email accounts were gone. Mail was mising also. I believe mu email accounts with mozilla 1,7,3 on this machine disappeared in a similar manner. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Created email accounts should have continued to work. Properties of those email accounts should not have been altered.
We need more info: Do you have system crashes at this time? Any virus found with anti-virus programs? Did you look in your Mozilla profile folder if the mail subfolder with the mail files still exists? Try this http://www.mozilla.org/start/1.5/troubleshooting/#restore-mail
from reporter prer private e-mail: I have looked for the mail folders. c:\program files\mozilla.org\mozilla\defaults\profile No mail folders found. Profiles had a directory (US) and 8 files, including a bookmarks file I imported and a PAB.na2 (address book). Not even a defailt mail folder! A search did not reveal any mail folders. As I reported to you yesterday, no browser or system crashed. The mail accounts under Outlook express 6 are still there after two weeks. I am using My win98 and Mozilla 1.7.3 computer to answer all email for now.

Yeah that is wrong, you find your own profile usually here: http://www.holgermetzger.de/pdl.html Another private e-mail from the reporter: A correction to my email of last night. I did find the mail folders but not where I expected based on this win98, Mozilla 1.7.3 setup. On the Windows XP and Mozilla 1.7.5 computer, the one where My accounts disappear: I found the mailbox data under: C:\documents and Settings\Gary\application data\mozilla\profiles\default\p1fag3dw.slt\mail. All 5 mail folders were there. Some are duplicates as I have created my main mail folder 3 times. There are two files for all 5 mail accounts. Example: Local folder-1 and mail2.gbronline-1.com Sorry about the incorrect data of last night. I did build yet another new email account last night, it was there this morning. So I will see how this one lasts.
