Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217

When I am visiting a page from the yahoo.com site (other pages do this but it is
consistant with Yahoo) and I use the two finger scrol feature on the new
powerbook 17 inch with Os 10.3.8 build 7u16 instead of scroling up or down it
will start moving back to pages i had previously viewed. It does not happen
with the safari browser. using a diagonal movement works everytime. up down or
sideways movement it is random.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open Yahoo.com
2. click on a few links (one even works)
3. scrol down the page using the two fingers on the trackpad method supported by
the new powerbooks.

Actual Results:
it will move back to yahoo's homepage.

Expected Results:
The software should have moved up or down the page

it does not crash the system, but information can be lost if I am several pages
into some thing. it also hapens on e bay, it may happen other sites but I do
not use the scrol feature that much
What is your setting for
Mozilla/Preferences.../Advanced/Mouse Wheel/No Modifier key/Vertical scrolling?

Actually it is horizontal scroll on the new powerbooks that is a problem.

Boris - thank you very much for the hint (this was driving me nuts)!

For the lay person, such as myself (I didn't find a different way of doing this):
3 easy steps:
1. in location -> about:config
2. find 'mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.action'
3. set the value to '0'

Comment 0 has the steps, no? Preferences dialog, Advanced > Mouse Wheel panel,
etc...
